Performance Engineer

We are looking for a best in class Performance Engineer to ensure that system architectures are functional, robust, and scalable within enterprise communication systems. As a key player in both project teams and as an individual contributor you will work to ensure delivered solutions match customer requirements. Activities will range from deployment of collaborative systems to upgrade tasks and technical governance on engagements.
  • Deliver on technical and non-functional areas of projects by providing high level expertise and in-depth knowledge
  • Communicate and help client to see the best course of action
  • Work as part of the integrative expert team to ensure customer and application success
  • Ensure that system architectures are functional, robust, and scalable within the context of a customer enterprise
  • Continuously improve and develop technical skills
  • Provide continuous review of new, changed, improved, enhanced architecture and functional capabilities of Mattermost solutions
  • Utilize early access to review new, changed behaviors of Mattermost integrated systems
  • Effectively work while remote, with the ability to travel 2-3 times per year for week-long off-site meetings with team members
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • 5+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large scale enterprise systems
  • This role requires expert level experience in integration of enterprise systems, servers, and/or collaborative tools
  • Application Server installation and administration skills
  • Strong coding skills in programming languages within our stack: Golang MySQL, Postgres, Nginx, Amazon AWS
  • Deep knowledge in profiling and optimizing Golang and SQL
  • Knowledge of Grafana and Prometheus
  • General tools/skills:  Github, Jira, Jenkins
  • Experience working in open source communities
