  • You will be the technical face for Mattermost's products and services for transactional and strategic sales.
  • This is a hands-on technologist role, you are working with clients and often times serving as the communication layer between the field and engineering/product.
  • You will spend 10-15% of your time focused on cross-functional, company focused activities such as technical marketing, speaking at events, blogging, updating documentation based on customer feedback, recording demos, etc.
  • Work with customers, partners, and prospects to understand and propose solutions using Mattermost technologies
  • Manage technical sales process for numerous customers day to day
  • Map customer requirements to current and future offerings
  • Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings (net new sales) through post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling, and subscription renewals)
  • Educate prospects on the business value of Mattermost's offerings
  • Drive progress towards successful sales, in concert with Account Executives
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and success
  • Continuously learn and update skills in quickly evolving technologies
  • Effectively communicate with other lines of business such as marketing, product, customer success and engineering

  • Experience seeing the entire lifecycle from conception to design to technology evaluation to pilot program to implementation to maintenance and support
  • Ability to switch context quickly throughout the day with numerous competing demands
  • Minimum 3 years experience and success working in a customer-facing role
  • Hands-on, technical, problem solver personality
  • Confidence working with customers and public speaking
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements
  • Comfort working in Linux environments and installing and deploying web applications, ideally in high availability cluster mode with database read replicas and load balancer
  • Ability to write simple applications in integrate to Mattermost via webhooks, drivers and APIs in a language like Python and JavaScript

  • Experience working with corporate directory and SSO systems including AD, LDAP, SAML and OAuth
  • Familiarity with EMM/MDM security solutions for deploying mobile applciations in secure environments
