We are looking for an experienced App Engineer. This person should be a strong communicator who can work closely with other teams’ product managers and engineers to help design the best products for our customers and then implement them. This person should also be very comfortable learning new technologies and adding them to their skillset. They should be interested in design in addition to engineering implementation.
As a member of the Engagement Apps team, you will help implement Twilio technologies internally - including front-end work in React and back-end work in a language that is best for our needs. We typically use everything from NodeJS to Python to Java. The team values thorough code reviews with constructive feedback and collaboration. To provide a reliable service, we write high-quality, effective system, performance, integration, unit, and functionality tests. You should be comfortable debugging high-visibility production systems, breaking down requirements, estimating tasks, and maintaining existing services and tools. Job responsibilities also include being on-call and participating in our blameless post-mortems, incident resolution, SLA definition, and operational reviews.
