Lead Front-End Engineer - MessagingApply
Because you belong at Twilio
The Who, What, Where and Why
You want to be challenged with leading the delivery of a world-class user experience using modern web technology. You know how to depend on the skills of your team to build software and appreciate not having to be a master of everything. You are a strong advocate for your team in a larger organization and know when to have an opinion. Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field is a minimum requirement.
The Lead Front-End Engineer for the Messaging team will be responsible for all front-end interactions customers have with Messaging products.
Your average week will encompass the delivery of software from concept to production deployments and monitoring. You’ll work closely with our design team to envision new experiences and coordinate with product management to scope engineering tasks. You’ll lead the implementation efforts alongside a team of seasoned and junior engineers. Once deployed, you will be responsible for defining and executing operational monitoring and response for your software services.
Twilio is known for SMS and Messaging. With this role, the Messaging team is committed to providing an exceptional user experience through visual interfaces in addition to our programmable interfaces. Our goal is to ensure customers can easily navigate, understand, and leverage our products to build their communications needs.

This position will be located in our beautiful office at 375 Beale Street in San Francisco. You will enjoy our incredible perks: catered meals, snacks, game room, ergonomic desks, massages, Wednesday Night dinners, bi-weekly All Hands and more. What you will also get to experience is a company that believes in small teams for maximum impact; that strives to balance work and home life, that understands that this is a marathon, not a sprint; that continuously and purposefully builds an inclusive culture where everyone is able to do and be the best version of themselves. We seek people who naturally demonstrate our values, who are challenged by problems, empower others to thrive, people who can draw the owl and not be beholden to one playbook.
