Engineering Summer Intern - 2018

Learn more at vts.com or @viewthespace ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP As an Engineering Intern at VTS you will be part of our TechOps team and will have a unique opportunity to complement what you’ve learned in school. You will gain experience working on a range of backend/infrastructure components that makes our site operations run smoothly and also make our team's internal tools run seamlessly. The VTS Summer Intern Program is from June 4th through August 10th, 40 hours a week with a competitive compensation rate. You will be working out of our VTS Headquarters in Bryant Park, New York City. The program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work with teams that are revolutionizing an industry, and the chance to have some fun throughout the summer!
  • Be an active member of the TechOps team
  • Write software and configure systems for infrastructure and monitoring
  • Elasticsearch cluster management, disaster recovery planning and testing, and evaluating continuous integration tools
  • Gain exposure to system configuration, software deployment, and running a server
  • You are a 2019 Graduate studying Computer Science or a similar Engineering field 
  • You have experience in Ruby and/or JavaScript
  • You may have specific skill areas in Git, Linux, networking, command-line tools, and CI systems (Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, etc)
  • You are interested in living and working in NYC upon graduation
