I'm a student of the Bishop's university in Canada, major in computer science. I own a google chromebook pixel. At first I installed ubuntu on my pixel, and it's not very stable, and ubuntu cannot support this high-resolution screen very well, after an upgrading to ubuntu 15.10, the system crashed. So what I can do is to roll back to chrome os.

But what I was worrying about is I cannot have a programming tool on chrome os! I had installed some coding applications from the google store, but they didn't satisfy my requirements.

Finally I got Codenvy. This is a smazing online programming method to me. I can use my amazing screen perfectly, and the speed is very fast in North American (but not very fast in China). You can code in every computer you want and need not worry about synchronization. And it's the best online compiler in chromebooks.

There are some disadvantages too. The key point is if you want your project to run correctly, you must finish a complex configuration. Though we are developers, ease of use is still very important and only when it's done, more and more people will come and love this tool.
