Cloudflare Workers doesn't support Python natively! I didn't feel like rewriting the audio processor in a different language (while also stripping out all of the old Twitch related code) so I'm using Google Cloud Functions to just run the old Python code.

Personally, at the moment I think Next is way more stable than Remix for what I'm trying to do. Just things like real-time websocket-esc syncing is more suited for Next.js than Remix in my experience at least.

Love GitHub and GitHub actions. Plan is to have auto deployment to my VPS using GitHub Actions (as seen on github.com/mmattdonk/emoteracer.xyz)

Writing raw SQL was.... 'fun'. Also I like how MongoDB is laid out, and their MongoDB Atlas servers are sick (and free).

I got bored of Python, and wanted to try something new. I've been meaning to learn JS/TS for a while now, but now I've finally gotten into it.

I personally like GitHub more than GitLab as of now for discoverability. I no longer need any of the features GitLab offers. Personally, I also prefer the GitHub UI and GitHub Desktop for simple cloning / committing.

Was the first language I learned, and I really like it. I feel it is really simple and really easy to understand.
