I built CSSVG as a lightweight alternative to tools like GSAP and Lottie. Most SVG animation workflows require shipping heavy JavaScript libraries to end users — GSAP is 100KB+ and Lottie is 239KB. For simple animations like hover effects, loading spinners, or entrance transitions, that feels like overkill.
CSVG lets you create SVG animations visually and exports pure CSS keyframes. No JavaScript runtime ships to your users. You upload your SVG or pick from preset shapes, animate on a timeline, and export clean SVG + CSS files you can paste into any project.
Would love to hear how others are handling SVG animations. Are you using GSAP, Lottie, or writing CSS by hand? What features would make a tool like this more useful?
