I use JavaScript because it's like a simpler, more easy to use, and more fun to use version of C but for the web. I know that C Lang doesn't really come close to looking like or behaving like JS, but that's just the feeling you get when using it. Javascript can be as complicated or as simple as you want. You can write simple algorithms quickly, not worrying about types, scope, or OOP. However, you can also write long rich programs like we see today in many web stacks. JS is extremely multi-functional and has the most support out of probably any language. There are countless libraries for any niche you'd want to pursue and just as much support. It lacks the concise documentation of a Microsoft language standard but due to it's popularity and widespread use it's probably one of the very best languages anyone can learn.
