We have used Node.js ( MVC pattern ) as core and also used Sailjs.org ( Built-in MVC for Node.js ) for our product voilacabs.com. We are getting about 50+ concurrent API request every second. Also, the app works rock solid on concurrent 10,000 user's using the system every day. Its been 6 months now and absolutely happy with response time and performance of Node.js. We have also used Angular 7.0 (Typescript ) to build GUI's which can be hosted on S3's bucket or even firebase and will get you the best in class speed at pocket friendly price point.
