Decided
VS Code is great, but for advanced functionality it requires a lot of plugins.
I wanted out of the box performance, with a more integrated approach (WebStorm still has a lot of plugins, but I feel they work better together).
Now keep in mind, WebStorm is not light weight, if I just need to look at something or make a small change, I would use Vim or Atom.
If anyone wants a robust IDE jam packed with functionality and is tired of VS Code, WebStorm is a fantastic choice IMO.
