Choosing between these two was trickier than I expected. ClickUp is .. ClickUp. It's damn good. No matter where my search from productivity, collaboration, data and file management, CRM and internal documentation takes me (and that journey takes me many places) I always find myself crawling back to ClickUp. ClickUp pisses me off the way it teases you with its complete feature set but just as you master one way to view your data (like a kan ban board) and decide its time to check out, say, a GANTT -- you need to upgrade. And the highest tier packages require multiple users so the prices add up quickly.
ZenKit looks cool. It's fun to use. It's fun to operate within it's default background and font settings, and still lets you play around. It's Chat functionality is probably the best on the market and it's almost totally free. .... Jeez why did I stop?? Oh right... ClickUp is still better, damn them. They do everything just a bit more put together than the competition and make it easy to share with both clients and colleagues alike.
Lasty, and I hate to use a fallacy like an appeal to the majority, but in these cases it makes perfect sense! ClickUp has a massive user base that's only growing - fast. That means dev teams are going to be better funded to pursue passion projects and moonshots in the (successful) effort to keep this app current and on the cutting edge of modem science.
If you ultimately don't choose to side with the majority on this one (read: the winner) that's your self sabotaging choice .. but I'll prove it to you all eventually.. and then I'll make my espeace in my car blimp.
If you dig around my stackshare in the next few weeks I'll be properly organising, putting away , or tossing out my old gear (not enough of it) - but no matter what the situation - ClickUp just works better, faster, more intuitively, and more people are familiar with the eco system. It's not the only tool in my belt, but it could be and is for many very large companies.if you havent tried it, you aught to!
