StackShare API Terms of Service

StackShare API users are bound by the StackShare Terms of Service , plus the following API-specific terms. These terms may change at any time. The last update occurred on November 19, 2019. StackShare reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, your access to the API (or any part thereof) with or without notice.

Please note, the StackShare API is in Beta and may change without notice.


Don't use the API in unintended ways without our permission

It is forbidden to use the StackShare in the following ways without our explicit written approval:

  • Scraping and reposting tools or stacks in bulk on your own site
  • Bootstrapping a competing platform with StackShare data
  • Using the data to solicit specific StackShare users with their own data
  • Reselling the data

Any vendors or users identified to be using the StackShare API in unintended ways will be banned from accessing the API and from having a presence on the main StackShare site.

Don't build a competing product on the API

Please don't use our data to build your own competing tools/stacks site, app, or platform.

Don't pretend the data is yours

Don't sublicense the data to other people. Don't crawl the API to scrape a complete copy of the data.

Attribute StackShare whenever the API data is being displayed publicly

Please link to StackShare (with a dofollow link) whenever API data is used or displayed publicly. Feel free to include our logo (assets available here).
