I've been experimenting with Claude for coding tasks recently, especially with tools like Claude Code, and I'm curious how other developers here are using it in real workflows.
In my experience, Claude is particularly strong when it comes to reasoning through larger codebases and explaining complex logic, but sometimes other tools seem faster for quick code generation or small scripts. It feels like different AI coding tools are evolving toward slightly different roles — some are better for planning and architecture, while others are optimized for fast code output.
I recently came across a comparison of several AI agentic coding tools, including Claude and some of the newer tools emerging for multi-agent development workflows, which was useful for understanding the landscape:https://prommer.net/en/tech/guides/best-ai-agentic-coding-tools-2026/
Curious what others here think — are you mainly using Claude as a coding assistant, or as more of a reasoning/planning tool for larger development tasks?
