Power BI vs QlikView: What are the differences?
Power BI: A business analytics service. It aims to provide interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities with an interface simple enough for end users to create their own reports and dashboards; QlikView: A Business Intelligence platform for turning data into knowledge. It is a business discovery platform that provides self-service BI for all business users in organizations. With this tool, you can analyze data and use your data discoveries to support decision making.
Power BI and QlikView belong to "Business Intelligence" category of the tech stack.
According to the StackShare community, Power BI has a broader approval, being mentioned in 16 company stacks & 12 developers stacks; compared to QlikView, which is listed in 6 company stacks and 4 developer stacks.
Power BI is really easy to start with. If you have just several Excel sheets or CSV files, or you build your first automated pipeline, it is actually quite intuitive to build your first reports.
And as we have kept growing, all the additional features and tools were just there within the Azure platform and/or Office 365.
Since we started building Mews, we have already passed several milestones in becoming start up, later also a scale up company and now getting ready to grow even further, and during all these phases Power BI was just the right tool for us.
