Spring vs Trailblazer: What are the differences?

What is Spring? Provides a comprehensive programming and configuration model for modern Java-based enterprise applications. A key element of Spring is infrastructural support at the application level: Spring focuses on the "plumbing" of enterprise applications so that teams can focus on application-level business logic, without unnecessary ties to specific deployment environments.

What is Trailblazer? A new architecture for Rails. Trailblazer is a thin layer on top of Rails. It gently enforces encapsulation, an intuitive code structure and gives you an object-oriented architecture. In a nutshell: Trailblazer makes you write logicless models that purely act as data objects, don't contain callbacks, nested attributes, validations or domain logic. It removes bulky controllers and strong_parameters by supplying additional layers to hold that code and completely replaces helpers.

Spring and Trailblazer can be primarily classified as "Frameworks (Full Stack)" tools.

"Java" is the top reason why over 192 developers like Spring, while over 3 developers mention "Trailblazer allows creating sane, large apps in Rails" as the leading cause for choosing Trailblazer.

Spring and Trailblazer are both open source tools. Spring with 30.6K GitHub stars and 19.6K forks on GitHub appears to be more popular than Trailblazer with 2.91K GitHub stars and 129 GitHub forks.

What are some alternatives to Spring and Trailblazer?
Spring Boot
Spring Boot makes it easy to create stand-alone, production-grade Spring based Applications that you can "just run". We take an opinionated view of the Spring platform and third-party libraries so you can get started with minimum fuss. Most Spring Boot applications need very little Spring configuration.
Foundation
Foundation is the most advanced responsive front-end framework in the world. You can quickly prototype and build sites or apps that work on any kind of device with Foundation, which includes layout constructs (like a fully responsive grid), elements and best practices.
Node.js
Node.js uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it lightweight and efficient, perfect for data-intensive real-time applications that run across distributed devices.
ASP.NET
.NET is a developer platform made up of tools, programming languages, and libraries for building many different types of applications.
Rails

Spring is another gift rained down by the gods of Open Source Software (a.k.a. Pivotal Labs in this particular case) that just makes sense on all levels.

From Spring Boot, to SpringMVC, the configuration architecture & profile paradigm, Spring Cloud expandability, to the ease with which one can deploy Spring applets as microservices within Docker is an absolute joy.
