Tornado vs Trailblazer: What are the differences?
What is Tornado? A Python web framework and asynchronous networking library, originally developed at FriendFeed. By using non-blocking network I/O, Tornado can scale to tens of thousands of open connections, making it ideal for long polling, WebSockets, and other applications that require a long-lived connection to each user.
What is Trailblazer? A new architecture for Rails. Trailblazer is a thin layer on top of Rails. It gently enforces encapsulation, an intuitive code structure and gives you an object-oriented architecture. In a nutshell: Trailblazer makes you write logicless models that purely act as data objects, don't contain callbacks, nested attributes, validations or domain logic. It removes bulky controllers and strong_parameters by supplying additional layers to hold that code and completely replaces helpers.
Tornado and Trailblazer can be categorized as "Frameworks (Full Stack)" tools.
"Open source" is the primary reason why developers consider Tornado over the competitors, whereas "Trailblazer allows creating sane, large apps in Rails" was stated as the key factor in picking Trailblazer.

setup an api for a client with tornado backend. incredibly fast and lightweight. unfortunately breaks down when using third party libraries which block internally.
