Stack Monitor
Monitor uptime and SLA compliance for the tools in your stack.
Stack Monitor tracks the real-time status of hosted SaaS and developer tools, helping you stay ahead of outages and claim SLA credits when services fail to meet their uptime guarantees.
Features
Real-Time Uptime Monitoring
We continuously monitor the status of popular developer tools and SaaS services, checking every 5 minutes. When an outage is detected, we require 3 consecutive failures to confirm it's a real incident (not a transient blip).
Incident History
View detailed incident history for any tool, including:
- Start time - When the outage began
- Duration - How long the service was down
- Severity - Minor (degraded), Major (partial outage), or Critical (full outage)
- Status - Investigating, Identified, Monitoring, or Resolved
SLA Violation Detection
Stack Monitor automatically calculates uptime percentages and flags when tools fall below their published SLA targets. Most enterprise SaaS tools guarantee 99.9% or higher uptime - we help you track whether they're meeting that promise.
SLA Credit Claims
When a tool violates its SLA, you may be entitled to service credits. Stack Monitor helps you:
- Identify violations - See which tools missed their uptime targets
- Calculate credit amounts - Estimate credits based on severity and duration
- Document incidents - Export incident data for your credit claim

How We Monitor
Stack Monitor uses multiple strategies to detect outages:
| Strategy | Description |
|---|---|
| Status Page | Parse official status pages (Statuspage.io, custom) |
| API Health | Check API endpoints respond correctly |
| Ping | Verify services are reachable |
Confirmation Logic
To avoid false positives from transient network issues:
- Creating incidents: Requires 3 consecutive failures (2 seconds apart)
- Resolving incidents: Requires 2 consecutive successes (2 seconds apart)
This means real outages are confirmed within ~15 minutes while brief glitches are filtered out.
