Managing Your Stack

Learn how to edit, update, and manage your tech stack on StackShare.

Keep your stack up to date as your technology choices evolve. Here's how to edit, organize, and maintain your stacks.

Editing Your Stack

To edit an existing stack:

  1. Navigate to your stack page
  2. Click the Edit button (you must be signed in as the stack owner)
  3. Make your changes
  4. Save your updates

Adding and Removing Tools

In edit mode, you can:

  • Add tools - Search for new tools and add them to your stack
  • Remove tools - Click the remove button on any tool card
  • Reorder tools - Drag and drop to change the order of tools

Adding Stack Decisions

Stack decisions add valuable context about why you chose specific tools. For each tool in your stack, you can write a decision that explains:

  • Why you chose this tool over alternatives
  • What problem it solves for you
  • Any pros and cons you've discovered
  • Tips for others considering the same tool

Stack Visibility

By default, stacks are public and visible to everyone. This helps the community discover tools and learn from your choices. You can manage your stack's visibility in the stack settings.

Deleting a Stack

If you no longer want a stack, you can delete it from the stack settings page. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
