Monotp vs Userbase: What are the differences?
What is Monotp? Never lose your OTP tokens again. It converts your passive OTP process to active push notification. It works like magic!
When you use it's Chrome Extension, it will identify your visited website's OTP request and will send it to your mobile phone as a push notification. When you Accept that request on your phone, your code will be generated on your mobile phone and send it back to the Chrome Extension. That extension will put your OTP code to the OTP text box and will redirect you to the application automatically.
What is Userbase? Add user accounts and persistence to your static site. It is the easiest way to add user accounts and data persistence to your static site. All Userbase features are accessible through a very simple JavaScript SDK, directly from the browser. No backend necessary.
Monotp and Userbase belong to "User Management and Authentication" category of the tech stack.
Some of the features offered by Monotp are:
- Cloud-first (Backup your tokens and never lose them again)
- Import options from different OTP Apps
- 4 to 10 digits code support
On the other hand, Userbase provides the following key features:
- Built-in user accounts
- Zero-management database
- End-to-end encryption
