I’ve been using FFmpeg for years for video and audio work, and it’s incredibly powerful.But while building AllInOneTools (https://allinonetools.net), I noticed something interesting.
For tiny, everyday tasks — like:
FFmpeg itself is perfect…but the experience around it often isn’t.
Most non-technical users don’t want to:
They just want to open → do the task → close.
So I’m curious how others think about this:
In my case, FFmpeg is the engine — but the real challenge is removing everything around it that slows people down.
