TaxCloud vs Wave: What are the differences?
Developers describe TaxCloud as "Free Internet Sales Tax Management". TaxCloud handles every aspect of sales tax compliance, from calculation to collection to filing - and it's completely free for most businesses. On the other hand, Wave is detailed as "The better way to make, move and manage your money". It is a free, online software alternative to Quickbooks. Wave helps manage invoices, credit card payments, accounting & payroll. Best for small businesses & freelancers.
TaxCloud and Wave can be primarily classified as "Accounting" tools.
Some of the features offered by TaxCloud are:
- Free and easy to configure
- Integrates easily with your online marketplace, shopping cart, or order management system
- Instantly calculates sales tax for any U.S. address
On the other hand, Wave provides the following key features:
- Billing and Invoicing
- Real double entry accounting
- Investment tracking
I started out as an Independent Contractor just about a month ago and wanted to start on the right foot. I did a bit of searching on Hacker News when I needed an Invoicing Solution. Freshbooks caught my eye initially but I decided to check StackShare for a more cost-effective solution. The Zapier integrations are pretty neat, the templates are cool and I'm looking forward to what else it has in store.
