We use MongoDB because it enables cloud and on-premise deployment. We leverage Atlas so that backups and clustering are taken care of for us and we can concentrate on our products. The VPC peering with our ECS VPC works very conveniently. Especially, with the aid of Terraform. It's aggregating pipelines are powerful and work great for Analytics and the fact MongoDB speaks in JSON works seamlessly with our React frontend.
