The incumbent but legacy tech stack at i22 comprises a diverse array of technologies, including Elixir, Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, Symfony, PHP, Go, and Python. This heterogeneous approach allowed for flexibility and specialization across various projects and teams, enabling tailored solutions to distinct challenges. However, this diversity also introduced complexity in maintenance and collaboration, which our new default tech stack aims to address.
